Today's Musing

The day started with heavy rains and some thunder while we were at church. As the day wore on the sun reappeared. This has been a month  of whether contrasts, winter than spring like whether. This has been the first winter since coming to Arkansas that I have seen measurable snow. I have noticed that some of the trees are showing some buds.
This month has been difficult to bird. We have not been afield all month. So we are stalled at 103 for the year. Now we go into a transtation period while we wait for the birds of spring migration to arrive. The feeder continues to be very active. The Finches have finally have found the thistle feeder. I took down the suet feeder because it was being consumed by the Starlings and Grackles.
More to follow soon.
